Project Manager - Refrigeration Industry

Salary: Up to £80,000 + Package

Location: Midlands based ideally but nationwide travel required

We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a reputable organization operating across the industrial cooling and refrigeration sector. This role involves managing major refrigeration projects from initial planning stages through to commissioning and final handover, supporting large industrial environments including food manufacturing, distribution centres and data centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee full project lifecycle, including planning, design, installation and commissioning
  • Develop detailed project plans covering scope, milestones, budgets and resource requirements
  • Coordinate engineering, design and installation teams, as well as specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure high standards of safety, quality and compliance throughout every project phase
  • Monitor financial performance, manage project budgets and support commercial reporting
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations
  • Promote a collaborative working environment across all disciplines involved in project delivery
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience managing large-scale industrial refrigeration or cooling projects
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration technologies, ideally including ammonia (NH?) and CO? systems
  • Background in engineering or a related technical discipline (degree desirable)
  • Strong project management skills with experience in planning, risk management and resource coordination
  • Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management abilities
  • Familiar with relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
