Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for roles in York and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work on supermarket contracts, carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance. Required qualifications include SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and experience with supermarket systems. This permanent position offers a salary of £46,791.53, including on-call standby.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration or Equivalent Qualification is mandatory.
• City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1 is required.
• Experience in managing PPM and reactive maintenance in a retail environment.

• Carry out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across multiple sites.
• Service and repair CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.

Skills

Experience with supermarket refrigeration systems

Ability to read technical drawings

Experience using a PDA system

Flexible for 24/7 on-call rota

Education

Salary: £46,791.53 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

Contract: Permanent

My client is on the lookout for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PPM and reactive refrigeration maintenance across a number of sites.
• Service and repair a range of CO2 refrigeration pack equipment.
• Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Refrigeration Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
• Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual\'s technical competence in accordance with current specifications.

Qualifications & Experience

• SVQ/NVQ Level 3 within Refrigeration or Equivalent Qualification.
• City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1
• Experience working with supermarket refrigeration systems.
• Flexible to be part of the 24/7 on-call rota every 1:4 weeks.
• Full driving license.
• Experience using a PDA system.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Carried out PPM and reactive maintenance within a similar retail environment.
