Job summary

A leading substance misuse service is seeking an experienced Recovery Navigator to join their Drug and Alcohol Team in Halifax. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals addressing their substance use, develop tailored recovery plans, and coordinate care pathways. Ideal candidates will have experience in substance misuse and excellent communication skills. This full-time position offers a pay rate of £18 – £22 per hour based on experience, with a contract lasting a minimum of 3 months.

Recovery Navigator – Drug and Alcohol Team – Halifax

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire
Rate: £18 – £22 per hour (depending on experience and payment method)
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time (Part-Time considered)
Contract: 3 Months Minimum (with potential to extend)

Belmont Recruitment are working with a leading substance misuse service to recruit an experienced Recovery Navigator to join their dedicated Drug and Alcohol Team in Halifax.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for recovery to make a significant impact in supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol misuse. You will help guide service users through their treatment and recovery journey, ensuring they have access to the support they need to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals who are looking to address their drug and alcohol use
  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop tailored recovery plans with clients
  • Act as a keyworker to help individuals navigate the treatment system, including referrals to appropriate services and resources
  • Coordinate and monitor care pathways, including prescribing services, detoxification, and aftercare
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, mental health teams, and community partners
  • Provide support with harm reduction strategies, relapse prevention, and wellbeing
  • Keep accurate records of client progress, including regular reviews and risk assessments
Requirements
  • Experience working in substance misuse, drug and alcohol recovery, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of recovery-focused interventions and harm reduction techniques
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships with vulnerable individuals
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport is desirable but not essential
