A healthcare provider in Kirkby Stephen seeks an enthusiastic Receptionist for maternity cover at Upper Eden Medical Practice. The role offers 25.5 hours per week and requires someone reliable, flexible, and able to work well in a team. Responsibilities include managing patient interactions, processing confidential information, and maintaining a high standard of confidentiality. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and previous NHS experience, in a supportive and patient-focused environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team at Upper Eden Medical Practice on a part-time basis - 25.5 hours per week. This position is a maternity cover for 9 months, with the possibility of extension.
The role is ideal for someone who is reliable, flexible, a team player and enjoys working with the public. We require our reception team to work with autonomy and a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact.
You’ll be working as part of our reception team, and will contribute to delivering high-quality support for patients. We pride ourselves on being responsive, understanding, and doing the best that we can to address the needs of our patients, and are looking for someone like-minded to join us. Maternity cover for 9 months - 25.5 hours per week available:
Monday 8.30am - 6.30pm
Tuesday 8.30am - 8.00pm

The post holder will be responsible for the efficient running of the reception area at Upper Eden Medical practice.
This includes general administration, data entry, equipment checks and liaison with multi-disciplinary teams.
