A healthcare provider in Dundee is seeking a Receptionist/Audio Typist/Clerical Officer to provide efficient administrative support in the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent typing and audio typing skills, good communication abilities, and a pleasant demeanor. Previous office experience and familiarity with medical terminology are beneficial. This position offers a part-time contract of 16.5 hours per week with a varied shift pattern.

RECEPTIONIST/ AUDIO TYPIST/CLERICAL OFFICER
BAND 2 16.5 hrs/wk
Monday &Tuesday 1630-2100 & Sunday 0900-1700

Applications are invited for the above post to provide an efficient administrative service for the Acute Surgical Receiving Unit based within the General Surgery Department at Ninewells Hospital. This will involve performing a wide range of clerical and secretarial duties including reception of acute surgical emergencies into the Unit.

Applicants should possess a pleasant and helpful manner and work well as part of a team. Good typing and audio typing skills are essential and a previous knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous. Previous experience in an office environment is essential as are good communication skills.

The Acute Surgical Receiving Unit is open from

0900-2100 Monday - Friday and 0900-1700 Saturday & Sunday

(with periodic 7 day shift pattern to cover absences)
