We invite you to submit an application for an ED Receptionist at Sunderland Eye Infirmary, working with multiple different staff groups, completing a variety of administration tasks and contributing to our fantastic service within our reception and medical records teams. This is an extremely busy and demanding role based in our Emergency Department Reception.

Main duties of the job
  • To work in reception areas dealing with the registration of all patients attending this area.
  • Data entry of patient information, ensuring accurate data input and updating patient information where necessary.
  • To ensure all relevant outpatient appointments are made within the given timescale.
  • Receive telephone enquiries and queries regarding patients.
  • Cashing up clinics to ensure the correct patient outcome.
  • Provide advice and information to patients.
  • Contact appropriate patients at short notice and allocate appointments to meet set deadlines and ensure continuity of care.
