Real Estate Partner - Manchester Leading National LawFirm - Exceptional Growth Opportunity

A prestigious national law firm with a strong northern presence is seeking an ambitious Real Estate Partner to join their expanding Manchester office. This is a unique opportunity to lead the team's real estate team in Manchester, one of the UK's most dynamic property markets.

The Opportunity

Our client's Real Estate Transactions team is experiencing significant growth, with the Northern division recording record turnover as part of a firm-wide £20 million real estate practice. The team in Manchester is highly profitable and is positioned for substantial expansion with ambitious plans to grow this over the next three years.

The Role

This is a genuine growth opportunity, not a replacement hire. You\'ll join a well-structured team of 5 qualified lawyers plus trainees, working alongside established partners who focus on investment, development, energy/sustainability, and strategic land matters.

With the planned retirement of a senior partner in the next two years, there are clear succession opportunities and the chance to take a leadership role in shaping the office\'s future direction.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Qualified solicitor with significant real estate transactions experience
  • Portable client following or the skills, expertise and attitude to grow one.
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills
  • Ambition to lead and grow a practice

Desirable:

  • We are open to experience across the real estate market in investment, development, retail, logistics, or energy sectors - or indeed any other niche!
  • Track record in a competitive regional market
  • Partnership experience or clear partnership potential

We\'re open to considering:

  • Partners looking to relocate from other firms
  • Senior lawyers from in-house roles with strong market connections
  • Senior Associates/Legal Directors seeking rapid partnership progression
Client Base

You'll work with an impressive portfolio including major retail brands, property developers, housebuilders, and international investment funds.

Package

Fixed Share Partnership:

  • Competitive base based on following

Equity Partnership available for exceptional candidates: The firm maintains a strong financial position with substantial cash reserves and offers attractive partner loan arrangements with firm-covered interest.
