Job summary

A logistics company is seeking a Reach Truck Operator in the borders of Luton and Dunstable. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts in a chilled and freeze environment, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities include moving materials, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Candidates must possess a UK reach truck licence. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £13 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a UK reach truck licence, out of date licence is accepted.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems is essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
• Move materials within the warehouse to proper locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
• Assist in shipping and receiving, verifying shipment accuracy.
• Maintain an organised work environment and ensure health & safety compliance.
• Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator for our client based on borders of Luton and Dunstable. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, and relocate materials within the warehouse. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and an ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Forklift Operator will ensure that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00

Pay rate £13ph

You must have UK reach truck licence - they will accept out of date licence.

Duties

• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas.
• Move materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement in designated locations.
• Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying the accuracy of shipments against packing lists.
• Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stock control.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and improve operational efficiency.
