Job summary

A local government organization in Shrewsbury is seeking a caregiver to provide person-centred care for countywide residents. Responsibilities include helping clients regain independence in daily activities and supporting rapid hospital discharge processes. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in English and Maths, experience in domiciliary care, and should be self-motivated with strong communication skills. Qualifications

  • GCSE qualifications in English and Maths at C/4 or above.
  • Willingness to complete a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Adult Care.
  • Experience in domiciliary care with manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities to promote independence.
  • Support rapid response to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions.
  • Facilitate safe discharge from hospitals and manage short-term care packages.
