Location: Waterloo

Working hours - rolling 15 week shift pattern of days/nights (12 hour shifts) - with shift and bank holiday allowances

Our Opportunity

Our Field Support team are looking to add a Rapid Response Technician (RRT) into their team based in Waterloo.

You will be responsible for undertaking faulting activities to restore service and systems on the Connect Network within Contractual Service Levels and to provide technical support to sustain the integrity of the Connect system.

This role will be based on-site/in the office.

This is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

Your responsibilities
  • Restoring services
  • Highlighting and escalating issues or deficiencies arising
  • Sharing good practice and lessons learnt to promote service improvement
  • Providing maintenance activities and carrying out equipment reprogramming and installations
  • Testing and certifying the safety of new systems and installs
About you
  • Experience as a 1st Line or 2nd Line Technician to understand and apply basic electrical principles to faulting activities
  • Technically qualified and certified competent to work on all systems within area of expertise
  • Able to understand and interpret design documents and work instructions
  • Responsible for maintaining validity of all safety and access certification - e.g QAF, LUCAS etc and will need to have significant understanding in this areas
  • Proficient in the application and interpretation of Telecom Transmission Systems, Systems, architecture and component parts, with good technical knowledge of Tetra Radio Systems, architecture and component parts
  • Good understanding of
    • Internet protocol and specifically IP Multi Services Networks
    • Technical understanding of Video, specifically ATM Video Systems
    • Power systems
