Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Treatment Planning Dosimetrist. This position involves executing treatment planning and checking, assisting in the mould room, and ensuring safety in a high-risk environment. The ideal candidate will hold an honours degree in a relevant subject and have registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer. A strong understanding of the radiotherapy processes and the ability to communicate effectively across teams is essential. The role offers a salary range from £46,419 to £55,046 annually including healthcare allowance, pro-rata.

Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge and experience across the range of working procedures and practices in radiotherapy.
  • Basic knowledge of treatment planning.
  • General awareness of computerised treatment planning systems.
  • Experience of routine working in treatment planning.
  • Experience of routine working in the mould room.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct treatment planning and checking.
  • Assist in the mould room as part of a team.
  • Ensure patient safety in radiotherapy procedures.

Skills

Good understanding of patient and staff risks arising from radiotherapy planning and treatment
Able to communicate complex information across professional boundaries
Able to prioritise and manage own work

Education

Honours degree in relevant subject or evidence of equivalent knowledge
State registration as a Therapeutic Radiographer or Register of Clinical Technologists
