A prominent healthcare organization in Greater London is looking for a Clinical Scientist to join their team. This role involves providing scientific expertise in radiotherapy, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting treatment planning. Candidates should be nearing HCPC registration in radiotherapy physics. This position fosters career development with benefits like flexible working and team support.
This is an exciting time to join our team of 35+ dosimetrists, scientists, engineers and technicians as we are embarking on a major equipment replacement programme with associated treatment planning developments, with the first of 2 new Radixact tomotherapy machines going live in early 2026. We have 1 permanent post and 2 fixed‑term posts (until May 2027).
You will join a team of 35+ scientists, dosimetrists, engineers and technicians providing a full range of complex radiotherapy services including SRS, SABR, SGRT across our Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospital sites. Our equipment includes 5 TrueBeam linacs, 2 of which are being replaced with Radixact tomotherapy machines, a SOMATOM go.Open Pro, an Xstrahl unit and a Flexitron brachytherapy unit. Our main TPS is RayStation with Brainlab Elements for SRS and Oncentra for brachytherapy planning.
The department has excellent experience in delivering education and training in medical physics at all levels; STP and HSST, hosts the London North Medical Physics Training Consortium and has close links with Imperial College, we also are active with research and development with direct staff involvement in on‑going clinical trials and have a positive attitude towards CPD funding, training and educational opportunities, including leadership courses.
You should have, or be about to achieve, HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in radiotherapy physics.
