Radio Technician - UK Field-Based
Full-Time Radio & Critical Comms Competitive Salary + Benefits

We're supporting a leading organisation in the mission‑critical communications sector as they look to add an experienced Radio Technician to their field team. If you're skilled with two‑way radio systems and enjoy hands‑on work across varied sites, this role will keep you challenged and progressing.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Installing and commissioning TETRA, P25, DMR, UHF/VHF and analogue systems
  • Deploying antennas, repeaters, base stations, combiners and RF hardware
  • Performing RF testing, diagnostics and coverage checks
  • Working with IP‑based radio infrastructure, dispatch consoles, routers and gateways
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Producing accurate site reports and documentation
  • Supporting clients directly while ensuring all safety standards are met
What You'll Bring
  • Strong experience with two‑way radio systems
  • Solid understanding of RF principles and system architecture
  • Field‑based installation and commissioning background
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
  • Great problem‑solving skills + full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to client sites
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Basic IP networking knowledge
  • Experience with Motorola / Sepura / Hytera / Tait equipment
  • CSCS/ECS card
  • RF safety cert
  • Working at height certifications
