Overview

Red Bull Technology has an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate student to spend a year in the Research and Development Chassis team. The placement will run from summer of 2026 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.

Based on our Milton Keynes campus, this position will be supporting the Research and Development Chassis Test team, who are responsible for carrying out physical testing on an extensive range of chassis components and assemblies up to full race car.

Candidates wishing to apply for this role should be studying towards a Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degree and have a good level of practical experience outside of education. You should be very computer literate but equally capable of performing hands-on tasks.

Responsibilities
  • To develop a good level of competency of CAD through training and practice
  • To produce detailed design drawings of R&D Test rig assemblies and release for manufacture
  • To assist with component, rig and fixture assembly and general laboratory test preparation
  • To play an active role in the day-to-day function of the department, including component and assembly testing to the high standards set and the procedures defined by the department
  • To assist with the analysis of test results and compilation of accurate reports detailing the findings of various R&D Tests
  • To play an active part in the presentation of the R&D Chassis Test Department
