Job description
Role Description & Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate a distributed team across the UK as well as work with teams in Europe, India, and the USA
  • Oversee the design and implementation of tools and solutions for managing large-scale, fault-tolerant cloud services
  • Guide the deployment of cloud orchestration and automation systems to ensure full lifecycle management
  • Supervise live system operations, change management, and incident resolution
  • Ensure 24x7 service availability, performance, and quality across all customer deployments
  • Collaborate with development teams to influence cloud service architecture and operational best practices
  • Foster a culture of DevOps, automation, and continuous improvement within the team
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in infrastructure: networking (architecture, TCP/IP), operating systems, web protocols (HTTPS, DNS, proxy), databases, and middleware
  • Proficient in AWS services and cloud ecosystem.
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Shell, Python)
  • Experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools for large-scale environmentsProven leadership, autonomy, and organizational skills in a high-paced, international setting
  • A proactive mindset, capable of driving initiatives and leading through change
