What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts & legislation
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical & communication skills
  • A proactive, time-efficient approach to work
  • A relevant degree or HNC + experience
  • A full UK driving licence
What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing and overseeing all commercial aspects of construction projects
  • Collaborating with the estimator on feasibility studies & cost appraisals
  • Working with design teams and buyers to source & price materials
  • Managing subcontractors: tendering, placing orders, certifying work
  • Acting as the bridge between site managers, engineers, project managers & clients
  • Tracking & managing budgets, valuations & variations
  • Identifying commercial risks & driving cost control initiatives
  • Mentoring junior surveyors to build team capability
  • Delivering clear, structured reports to stakeholders
