Qualifications

  • Valid UK driver license.

Job description

An opportunity exists for a Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a portion of the HS2 project near Aylesbury. This role is temporary for 6 months. You'll report to the Commercial Manager for the section and will be responsible for tender pricing; risk assessments and contract drafting / negotiations.

In this fast-paced role you can expect to work both within a supporting nature as well as independently leading on your own projects.

Responsibilities
  • Cost and Value reconciliations
  • Cost reporting and cash management
  • Build strong working relationships with the client and key colleagues
  • Contract administration which includes data reporting and record keeping
  • Subcontract account management, payment and dispute management
  • Contribute to project performance discussions, providing commercial input to project strategy
Requirements
  • Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts including options A, B and C
  • Tier one contractor experience on civil engineering projects
  • An understanding of cost, sequencing and time
  • Hold a valid UK driver license
