Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quantity Surveying within the Housing industry.
• Relevant qualifications such as QS degree or similar.
• IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and COINS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-start meetings for briefing departments.
• Project manage the working budgets and ensure project tracking.
• Facilitate subcontractor meetings to address order aspects.
• Prepare cost to complete reports and interim valuations.
• Handle payment processing for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Engage in development meetings on-site with team members.
• Liaise closely with Site Managers for project execution.
• Provide cost feedback to the Commercial Director.

Skills

Experience in a QS role within the Housing industry

IT literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, COINS)

Clean driving license

Quantity Surveyor – House Developer (Cheshire East, Permanent)

My client is one of the UK’s leading builders of new homes, and they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to expand their team and who will be able to work from their office in East Cheshire.

Duties to include:

• Pre-start meetings for the departments to be briefed on the nature of the scheme and any issues affecting it.
• Project manage the working budgets
• New subcontractor meetings to discuss all aspects of their order including programme and issues raised by either party.
• Cost to complete reports
• Interim monthly/quarterly valuations
• Payment of subcontractors/suppliers
• Development meetings on site
• Liaison with Site Managers
• Cost feedback to Commercial DirectorContra-charges (re-charges) against Sub-contractors
• Surveyor Team Meetings
• Close liaison with Development department proving feedback on drawing errors, amends and subcontractor queries

Knowledge & Specific Job Skills:

• Previous experience in a QS role within the Housing industry
• Relevant qualifications, QS degree or similar
• IT literate, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, COINS (Essential)
• Clean driving licence
