NRL are proud to be recruiting on behalf of AESC for Quality Technicians to join their world-leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England. In this role you will support the development and operation of a world class, innovative, large-scale mass manufacturing plant.

This is a unique and rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale, net zero industrial developments where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

Mission and role details

A position is now available for a Quality Technician, to support the Quality Department to work as part of our QA shift teams.

Outline and Responsibilities
  • Fully proficient with IATF16949:2016
  • Deep dive to Root Cause using 4D and Quality tools
  • Understanding of PFMEA and Control plans
  • Perform, product and process audits (internal)
  • Generate technical and management reports.
  • Carry out inspections in line with relevant work instructions
  • Validation activity
  • Containment activities
Experience & qualifications Required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present data to make fact-based decisions.
  • Experience of IATF16949
  • Experience/ understanding of IATF/TS core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, FMEA, SPC)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – reporting throughout the business at all levels and with all functions will be required.
  • Knowledge of APIS software (Desirable)
  • Excellent PC Skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Calibration & MSA understanding (Desirable)
  • Containment of suspect parts
  • Full driving license.
