The Role

As Quality Systems Manager, you'll lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust food safety and quality systems. You'll ensure our site complies with all customer, legal, and third-party standards including BRCGS and HACCP while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain site-specific QMS in line with BRCGS, HACCP, and customer standards.
  • Manage documentation, records, and site risk assessments.
  • Conduct GAP analyses and manage internal/external audit processes.
  • Act as lead for third-party audits and customer inspections.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate QMS management reviews and site performance reporting.
Compliance & Food Safety
  • Oversee HACCP, VACCP, and TACCP plans.
  • Maintain traceability systems and legal compliance.
  • Manage customer portals and third-party audit communications.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Act as the main technical interface for customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, NPD, Supply Chain, and Training teams.
  • Support onboarding through specification and compliance documentation.
Continuous Improvement
  • Analyse trends from audits and complaints to drive improvements.
  • Implement proactive quality initiatives and training with stakeholders.
About You

You're a proactive, detail-oriented leader with strong technical knowledge and a passion for food safety. You're confident working in a high-care food manufacturing environment and comfortable engaging with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What You'll Need
  • Previous experience as a Quality Systems Manager ideally within food manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge of HACCP, TACCP, BRCGS/GFSI, and customer COPs.
  • Internal Auditor trained (Lead Auditor desirable).
  • Ideally Level 4 in Food Safety and HACCP.
  • Strong IT skills including QMS platforms and customer portals.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
