A leading engineering firm in Barnsley is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee Quality Inspectors and lead continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise to collaborate with R&D on new product development while refining manufacturing processes. Nicholas Associates have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Manager, to join an established engineering business in a hands-on role.
You will be responsible for overseeing two Quality Inspectors, driving continuous improvement across the business & utilising your technical expertise to collaborate with R&D on new products & take accountability for implementing & refining production & manufacturing processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing, implementing, and overseeing quality control systems to ensure products/services meet standards, setting procedures, training staff, monitoring production, analysing data, resolving issues, managing budgets, and driving continuous improvement (CI) through Lean/Six Sigma, reporting to management, and liaising with stakeholders to meet customer needs and enhance efficiency.
Ideally you will have a background in the metals industry - manufacturing, welding, fabrication - within a technical/quality role.
