We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our client's growing team within a leading CNC-based precision engineering company. Working across aerospace, defence, and automotive sectors, you will be responsible for ensuring components meet strict quality standards using advanced inspection techniques.
Perform detailed inspection of precision CNC-machined components
Use Mitutoyo measuring equipment (including CMM) for accurate assessments
Operate CMMs using MCOSMOS software
Interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications
Ensure compliance with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001)
Document inspection results and raise non-conformance reports
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues
Proven experience in quality inspection within a CNC precision engineering environment
Strong knowledge of Mitutoyo equipment and MCOSMOS CMM software (DESIRABLE)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances
Experience working to high-spec standards for aerospace, defence, or automotive sectors
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC, BTEC, etc.)
Familiarity with quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, 8D, etc.)
Experience with visual or non-contact inspection systems
