Our client, a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector to play a vital role in maintaining high product standards within a fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for goods inward inspection of supplied manufactured components, as well as end-of-line product inspections where required. You will ensure all parts and finished products meet agreed design, specification, and customer requirements. You'll be a conscientious and detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure. You'll also enjoy working as part of a collaborative team within a hands‑on manufacturing environment.

Quality Inspector - Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Goods Inward inspection on all incoming manufactured parts to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Perform end‑of‑line product inspections to meet agreed customer expectations.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, and calipers.
  • Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Record, report, and manage non‑conformances, working with internal departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes.
  • Ensure defective items are controlled and segregated appropriately.
  • Follow all Health & Safety and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Inspector - Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a Quality or Manufacturing role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency with standard measuring tools and equipment.
  • Good computer literacy, ideally including Microsoft Word, Excel, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths preferred.
