Job summary

A leading machining business in Huntingdon is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the highest quality of unique, high-end parts for various customers, including those in the medical and aerospace industries. You will perform quality checks on metallic components, using hand tools and CMM machines. Previous experience in manual inspection and a strong attention to detail are required. This is a Monday to Friday role with no shifts.

Qualifications

  • Previous manual inspection experience using a variety of hand tools is required.
  • Experience working with precision metallic parts/components is essential.
  • CMM operating and programming experience is desirable.

This is your chance to be joining a leading machining business who supplier unique, high-end parts to customers across Europe in the medical, scientific and aerospace industries predominantly. Being a sub con, the work is extremely varied for a wide range of customers! As a quality inspector, you will play an integral part in ensuring the highest quality of parts are leaving the door and you will have a keen eye to spot any issues or imperfections.

The role

This Quality Inspector vacancy is going to be quality checking a variety of metallic parts, including first off inspection and final inspection before sending out to various customers. The works varied as they're a sub-contractor with even some 1 offs. If you're someone experienced using various hand tool like verniers, micrometres, shadowgraphs as well as operating /programming the CMM machines this could be the role for you. The role is also a Monday to Friday position with no shift required.

Experience required
  • Previous manual inspection experience using a variety of hand tools
  • Experienced working with precision metallic parts/ components
  • CMM operating experience and programming is desirable
  • A real strong eye for detail is of course a necessity
