Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred.
  • Experience in a quality control environment preferred.
  • CMM experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality and Inspection support for both existing and new business opportunities.
  • Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process.
  • Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages.
  • Support and promote improvement activities.
  • Work within cross functional teams for business development.
  • Complete First Offs and Batch Work.

Skills

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector
Competent in using verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI
Experience in a quality control environment
Working to ISO 9001
Attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
CMM experience advantageous but not essential
Practical Problem Solving skills

We are looking for Quality Inspector Night Shift 2 Positions availible to work in a busy manufacturing environment.

Working hours: 39 hours, Monday to Thursday 19:30pm - 04:30am , Friday 2.30am - 7:30am

Salary: £17.83 per hour, plus 33% Shift allowance

Purpose of role and key accountabilities
  • To provide Quality and Inspection support for both existing and new business opportunities and to develop the Right First Time philosophy required to become a leading supplier of quality components to the aerospace industry;
  • Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements;
  • Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages within business;
  • Support and promote improvement activities to directly benefit our products and manufacturing processes;
  • To work within cross functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required;
  • Complete First Offs and Batch Work.
Core skills/attributes needed
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications;
  • Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred;
  • Competent in using the following equipment: verniers, micrometres, bore micrometers, height gauges, DTI (Digital Test Indicators);
  • Experience in a quality control environment preferred;
  • Working to ISO 9001;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision;
  • CMM experience advantageous but not essential;
