Job summary

A global leader in access solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer in Willenhall, UK. The successful candidate will support quality operations and drive continuous improvement across products and processes. Responsibilities include quality systems maintenance, monitoring DPPM metrics, solving quality issues with cross-functional teams, and facilitating root cause analysis. The ideal candidate will possess quality assurance experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Qualifications

  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Competence in metrology and use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Certified or experienced Internal Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with ERP systems (e.g. AX) is advantageous.
  • Effective team player with the availability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ).
  • Monitor and analyse Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) metrics.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure timely closure of non-conformances.
  • Conduct audits and process validations to uphold quality.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met for new product introductions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
