Job description
Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a major civil engineering and utilities project in Central London. This is a permanent role offering long term progression, involvement in large infrastructure works, and responsibility for quality assurance across delivery and handover.

The ideal candidate will have experience within civil engineering or utilities, with strong understanding of construction quality systems, QA documentation, compliance and project handover requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee quality standards and compliance across site activities
  • Develop and manage ITPs, quality plans, NCR processes and inspection procedures
  • Produce and maintain QA check sheets, inspection reports and test documentation
  • Manage red line drawings, RTRs, TQs, concessions and controlled change documentation
  • Collate all quality documentation for handover including as-built information and O&M packs
  • Conduct site audits, inspections and quality walks with delivery teams
  • Support close out of snags, defects and outstanding QA records against programme
  • Liaise with design, construction and client teams to ensure high quality delivery
  • Ensure documentation is complete, traceable, auditable and packaged for final submission
Skills and experience required
  • Civil engineering or utilities background highly desirable
  • Experience managing QA processes on infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong understanding of ITPs, NCRs, test sheets, QA records and handover documentation
  • Ability to interpret drawings and technical detail confidently
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage large documentation volumes
  • Proficient with MS Office and digital EDMS / QA systems
  • Engineering qualification or equivalent project QA experience
