Job description

We're seeking an experienced, automation‑focused Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our North American Sports product team. This team develops insightful analytics and recruit products for American football that help high‑level coaches and analysts make faster, data‑driven decisions on player performance and talent acquisition. Your primary mission will be to be the testing expert within your cross‑functional squad, ensuring the delivered product meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will actively guide technical testing discussions and challenge the team to maintain high standards.

For this role, we’re currently considering candidates who live within a commuting distance of our offices in London. With our flexible work policy, there are no current requirements for the number of days you come to the office.

Responsibilities
  • Own testing. Lead the squad's testing efforts, using your customer and system understanding to ensure our products meet and exceed user expectations.
  • Automate. Align our processes with development speed and make informed decisions on what, how, and when to automate.
  • Collaborate. Work closely with coworkers across Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum to ensure the delivery of high‑quality products.
  • Focus on quality. Understand the big picture and strive to use what you know to improve quality and velocity.
Qualifications
  • Technical know‑how. Solid experience designing and executing tests across the stack, from front‑end UI validation to in‑depth API testing, with proficiency in key languages (e.g. Python, TypeScript) and modern automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Selenium).
  • Customer driven. Think critically about the user experience and ensure the testing approach adapts to their workflows.
  • Performance testing exposure. Familiarity with load, stress, and scalability testing concepts, and exposure to common tools (e.g., JMeter) for validating API and backend service performance.
  • AI tool exposure. Curiosity and exposure to leveraging AI tools (such as LLMs, specialized coding assistants, or test data generators) to increase efficiency in documentation, test case creation, or initial failure diagnosis.
  • Sport knowledge. Passion for American football and keenness to learn more.
Benefits
  • Champion work‑life harmony. Flexible vacation time, company‑wide holidays, timeout (meeting‑free) days, remote work options, and more.
  • Guarantee autonomy. An open, honest culture where you are trusted from day one and supported by your team, but you also own your work and have agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. Resources and opportunities for professional development.
  • Supportive environment. Dedicated spaces and tech stack designed to help you succeed, whether in office or remote.
  • Physical and mental wellness. Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups, and fitness partner PeerFit.
  • Medical insurance. Multiple plans, including vision, dental, fertility, and family‑forming benefits.
  • 401(k) contribution. Free money – we match up to 4% of your own contribution.
Compensation

Base Salary Range £51,000 - £86,000 GBP. We make compensation decisions based on an individual's experience, skills, and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.
