Job summary

A leading food company in Tees Valley is seeking a Quality Assurance Auditor to ensure compliance with quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate taste panels, conduct audits of materials and processes, and assist with training colleagues. This role requires strong attention to detail and a food-related degree or equivalent experience. Working hours are from 06:00 to 18:00 on a rotational basis, with a pay rate of £13.21 per hour. We’re seeking reliable and motivated Quality Assurance Auditor to join our growing team.

Job Title: Quality Auditor

Location: The Compleat Food Group, Brighouse Road, Riverside Park Industrial Est. Middlesbrough, TS2 1RT

Working Hours: 06:00 - 18:00, 4 on 4 off rotation

Pay: £13.21 per hour

Reporting To: Quality Assurance Team Leader

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Coordinate and lead the daily product taste panels.
  • Assist in compliance auditing of materials, products, processes and procedures:
    • Equipment Calibration
    • Process Auditing
    • Factory Auditing
    • Management of Non‑Conformances
    • Micro Sampling
    • Product Quarantine
    • Environmental Swabbing
    • Oil Testing
  • On a daily basis collate all records from the previous 24 hours and audit a random selection of control charts for compliance. Sign and date these records reviewed and report to Supervisor/Management.
  • Review, on a daily basis, the production and packing runs, verify against the agreed specification and elevate any issues found to TL/Supervisor and Manager.
  • Assist, where appropriate, in the resolution of any corrective actions needed where non‑compliance has been issued.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required and assist with the training and development of colleagues.
  • Any other duties as required.
