Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Havant, Hampshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: 4x Days | Remote Working
Hours: 37.5hrs
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
Clearance Required: Active SC Required

The Role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to join a growing Quality team supporting complex engineering and defence programmes. The role will act as a Quality Assurance representative across multiple programmes, providing governance, assurance, and regulatory compliance support throughout the programme lifecycle. This position is well suited to a Quality professional with strong Quality Management Systems experience particularly AS9100, who is looking to join a world leading defence organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Quality Assurance representative across engineering and defence programmes.
  • Support regulatory compliance and third‑party certifications, including AS9100.
  • Assist with internal quality investigations and Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) activities.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Plan, coordinate, and support external audits (customer, regulatory, and certification bodies).
  • Engage with external industry, Government, and Military Quality Assurance stakeholders.
  • Conduct supplier audits, approvals, and supply chain monitoring activities.
  • Provide QA support for delegated equipment release where required.
  • Support process improvement initiatives to drive improved performance.
  • Assist with process modelling, documentation, analytics, and quality reporting.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong experience with AS9100 (essential).
  • Lead Auditor qualification (AS9100 preferred).
  • Experience conducting internal and/or external audits.
  • Degree‑qualified or equivalent in an engineering or business discipline (e.g. apprenticeship, time‑served engineering role, or military technical background).
  • Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems and quality processes.
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and corrective action methodologies.
  • Familiarity with process modelling and QMS documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across multiple functions and seniority levels.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SC clearance (essential).
Desirable Experience
  • Background in aviation, aerospace, or defence environments.
  • Experience working with UK MoD / DE&S programmes.
  • Military Aircraft Authority (MAA) Regulatory Publications.
  • Allied Quality Assurance Publications (AQAPs).
  • Joint Service Publications (JSPs).
  • Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 20000, and/or ISO 27001.
  • Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Human Factors training.
  • Previous military or defence‑sector experience.
Travel

Very occasional travel (monthly or less) to UK and European sites.
