Achieving for Children is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join the Duty and Assessment team on a temporary basis, covering maternity/paternity leave. This is a frontline role where you will be responsible for undertaking assessments, managing caseloads, and ensuring timely interventions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out duty and assessment work, including initial assessments and Section 47 enquiries
  • Manage a varied caseload, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local procedures
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations and reports for decision-making panels and courts
  • Contribute to service improvement and uphold professional standards
Qualifications
  • Qualified Social Worker with registration to Social Work England
