Overview

The Trustees are looking to recruit Qualified Primary Teacher with English Curriculum responsibility at Hollinwood Academy, Hollinwood. Salary on Teachers’ Pay Scale plus TLR2a and SEN allowance. Commencing January 2026.

Hollinwood Academy is part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust. The academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum for pupils from EYFS to Key Stage 4, including support for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language and communication needs. The aim is to enable all pupils to achieve and improve their academic and personal development through innovative curriculum design.

We invite applications from excellent Primary practitioners to deliver the primary curriculum to children with autism and mild/moderate learning difficulties, and to lead on the English curriculum across primary.

Responsibilities
  • Have specific experience/interest in working with pupils with SEND and Autism
  • Be an excellent practitioner with the commitment and motivation to inspire pupils’ learning and development
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of autism and ASC strategies to adapt learning to meet the needs of pupils with autism
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the National Curriculum at all ability levels and adapt learning to meet the needs of all children across primary
  • Deliver the primary national curriculum and lead the primary English national curriculum
  • Use a wide range of communication tools to communicate with children and young people across the school
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation through imaginative and differentiated lessons
  • Demonstrate emotional and physical resilience when working with children with a range of complex needs
  • Foster good relationships with staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
  • Enhance pupil progress, raise attainment and achievement for all learners
  • Use current assessment practices, data and pupil progress tracking to ensure all groups achieve

Although based initially at our Roman Road sites, all staff are employed by the MAT and are expected to work at any site within the New Bridge Group. All sites are located within a 2 miles radius of Roman Road.

Candidates are welcome to arrange a visit. We particularly welcome Trainees/ECTs looking to start a career in the SEN sector.

Allowances: TLR2a for English Curriculum Lead (£3,527 pa) and SEN allowance (£2,787 pa)
