Overview

Aspire People are currently seeking a Qualified History Teacher to teach KS3-4 in one of the secondary schools in DE55.

You will be responsible for delivering and planning lessons to GCSE standard. This role is January 2026 till Summer 2026. The position is for 5 days a week (Monday - Friday).

Location: DE55. Position: QTS History. Type of work: KS3-4. Start date: January 2026. Likely duration: Long term, until Summer 2026. Contract type: Temporary. Hours: 8:20am-4:00pm (term time only). Rate of pay: £160 - £190 per day.

  • Deliver and plan lessons to GCSE standard for KS3-4 History.
  • Be a confident teacher with good communication skills and behaviour management.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold QTS or NQT and have experience teaching History to KS3; candidates with Geography or RE backgrounds who are eager to learn a new subject will be considered.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training is imperative. You can undertake a free course with Aspire People if you have not completed a safeguarding course in the last 12 months.
  • Right to work in the UK must be held.
  • Possess an enhanced DBS certificate with online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional child-related references.
