Pyrotechnic Assembly Operative

Chalgrove | £27,500 | Permanent | Days

We're recruiting an Assembly Operative for a globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Chalgrove. You'll be assembling pyrotechnic components including cartridges and rocket motors for aviation safety systems - precision work with explosive materials in a highly regulated environment.

What you'll be doing:
  • Assembling pyrotechnic components to engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Using weighing equipment and specialist tooling to achieve precise tolerances
  • Handling explosive materials safely in accordance with strict procedures
  • Interpreting assembly drawings, identifying part numbers, drawing issues, and batch identification
  • Maintaining and monitoring tools and equipment for fitness for purpose
  • Updating SAP to record work in progress accurately
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and H&S regulations including explosives compliance
  • Contributing to housekeeping and maintaining a safe, clean working environment
What you need:
  • Basic production or manufacturing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (training provided)
  • Understanding of H&S policies and procedures
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to precise tolerances
  • Basic PC and SAP skills
  • Team player who can work independently
  • Self-starter with good communication skills
  • GCSE grades D-G (or equivalent)
  • Experience with explosives or pyrotechnic assembly is ideal, but full training will be provided to the right person with a solid manufacturing background.
