Purchasing Assistant – Willenhall, England, UK

What you would do as our Purchasing Assistant

As our Purchasing Assistant you will play a key role in ensuring smooth stock management and exceptional customer satisfaction. You’ll manage daily purchasing operations, maintain accurate supplier and product data and collaborate across departments to keep everything running efficiently. This is a fast‑paced role where attention to detail and proactive communication are essential.

You would also:
  • Manage daily order flow and maintain accurate supplier and product information.
  • Place purchase orders for stock and customer‑specific requirements to ensure availability.
  • Monitor outstanding orders, resolve discrepancies and liaise with suppliers and logistics.>
  • Support stock management processes including adjustments and accurate record‑keeping.
  • Provide administrative support and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
The skills and experience you need
  • Proven experience working with numbers and spreadsheets whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, taking initiative and responsibility.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence others while working effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Ability to manage tasks in a structured way, maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience or interest in purchasing or supply chain, ideally with an understanding of re‑ordering / purchase planning.
