Overview

Job Title: Purchasing Assistant-Part-Time

Location: Queenborough - Kent

Working Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Purchasing Assistant to support all aspects of the procurement process. This role is ideal for someone with experience working within a purchasing department who understands the importance of building and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You'll play a key role in ensuring the supply chain operates efficiently and effectively. This role is based in Queenborough.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day purchasing activities
  • Liaise closely with suppliers to maintain and strengthen existing relationships
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to meet procurement needs
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels and supplier performance
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a purchasing department
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with suppliers
