A Day in Your Neighbourhood

• Keep it spotless: Clean and maintain all public areas, guest toilets, staff changing rooms, corridors, lobbies, and back‑of‑house areas, following daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Polish the details: From vacuuming and dusting to shining fixtures, mopping floors, and spot‑cleaning carpets; no surface is overlooked.
• Stay stocked: Make sure amenities like toilet rolls, hand wash, paper towels, and bins are replenished, clean, and presentable throughout the shift.
• Own your routine: Tackle a wide variety of cleaning tasks including sanitising high‑touch points (lifts, handles, switches)
• Be present and proactive: Stay alert to what needs doing, from straightening cushions to reporting maintenance issues and respond to guest or team requests with care and efficiency.
• Stay safe: Follow all manual handling, hygiene, safety, and COSHH procedures, and help create a safe environment for guests and team members alike.

• Previous experience in a cleaning, janitorial, or housekeeping role (ideally in a hotel)
• A strong sense of pride in presentation and cleanliness
• Good time management and ability to work independently
• Confidence using cleaning equipment and following procedures
• Physical fitness to carry out manual tasks (e.g. lifting, bending, standing for long periods)
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong team ethic
