Job summary

A recruiting agency is seeking a passionate Psychology Teacher for a short-term role in Newham. This position involves teaching engaging lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 and making a positive impact in a supportive secondary school. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons across KS4 and KS5.
  • Teach Year 10 and Year 12 in the first week.
  • Teach Year 11 and Year 13 in the second week.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and curriculum-focused lessons.
  • Support students in developing confidence and exam readiness.
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.

Skills

Strong subject knowledge in Psychology
Ability to deliver lessons confidently at short notice
Experience teaching KS4 and KS5

Education

Salary: £150 – £250 per day

Contract: Temporary for 2 weeks

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a passionate and committed Psychology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school for girls with a mixed gender 6th form in Newham. This is a fantastic short‑term opportunity for a Psychology Teacher who loves inspiring students and delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5.

This week, the Psychology Teacher will be teaching Year 10 and Year 12, and next week the Psychology Teacher will also teach Year 11 and Year 13. This role is ideal for an adaptable Psychology Teacher who enjoys making a positive impact in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities of the Psychology Teacher:
  • Deliver high‑quality Psychology lessons across KS4 and KS5.
  • Teach Year 10 and Year 12 in the first week.
  • Teach Year 11 and Year 13 in the second week.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, clear, and curriculum‑focused.
  • Support students in developing understanding, confidence, and exam readiness.
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Requirements for the Psychology Teacher:
  • Must hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology.
  • Experience teaching KS4 and KS5 is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver lessons confidently at short notice.
  • A DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards.
