Job summary

A vibrant educational institution in Swindon is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver A Level Psychology. In this role, you'll inspire and support Sixth Form students, helping them navigate their academic journey. Responsibilities include teaching engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to curriculum development. A strong background in Psychology and a recognized teaching qualification (or willingness to pursue one) are required. This is a part-time contract of 18.5 hours per week for an initial period of 6 months.

Are you passionate about Psychology and excited by the opportunity to inspire Sixth Form students at a key stage in their academic journey?

You’ll teach A Level Psychology to a growing cohort of students, many of whom are encountering the subject for the first time, and play a vital role in guiding them through a strong and supportive induction into Sixth Form study.

This role is an initial 6 month FTC contract. 18.5 hours per week.

What you’ll do
  • Teach engaging Psychology lessons at GCSE, AS and A2 level
  • Support student progress through effective assessment, feedback and monitoring
  • Act as a personal tutor, supporting students’ academic and personal development
  • Develop high-quality learning materials aligned to the AQA specification
  • Promote positive study habits, attendance and engagement
  • Work collaboratively within a dedicated Psychology teaching team
  • Contribute to curriculum development and Sixth Form enrichment activities
What we’re looking for
  • A degree in Psychology or a related subject
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Psychology education
  • The ability to engage, motivate and support Sixth Form learners
  • Good organisation, communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusive practice
