Job description

Psychology Graduate – Let’s get you going in the right direction after graduation

Location: Leeds
Pay: £90–£117 per day (depending on experience & qualifications)

You’ve studied hard, now it’s time to put that Psychology degree to work — in a role where you’ll genuinely make a difference

If you’ve ever wanted to support young people beyond the walls of mainstream education, this is your moment. Think Pupil Referral Units (PRUs), SEMH schools, and alternative education settings where every day is unique, every breakthrough is big, and your presence really matters

Why you’ll love this role

✨ Many roles turn into long‑term or permanent positions
Incredible hands‑on experience for future teachers, psychologists, SEND specialists & youth workers
Build a portfolio of experience that helps you land your dream job—not just to pad out your CV

We’re looking for graduates who are…
  • Based locally and ready to start once compliance checks are done
  • Adaptable, curious, and passionate about helping young people thrive
  • Up for a challenge (and a proper laugh along the way)
Bonus points if you have experience or interest in:
  • Youth work (paid or voluntary)
  • Drama, sport, or psychology‑related settings
  • SEND or SEMH (even a little experience helps!)
  • Residential care, mentoring, or 1:1 tutoring
  • English, Maths, or Science support
  • Team Teach or de‑escalation training (or open to learning with us!)
Real Talk

This isn’t your average classroom. You’ll be working with students who’ve faced challenges and need someone calm, kind, and consistent. You’ll be part of a team that celebrates progress—no matter how small—and believes in every learner.

Our graduates have gone on to eventually become psychologists, teachers, SEND specialists, and mentors. Wherever you’re headed next, this experience will give you the foundation to thrive.

What Protocol Education offers

  • A supportive, friendly team that’s with you every step of the way

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
  • Two professional references from the last five years
  • A CV that covers your last 10 years (or as many as you’ve got!)
