Are you a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant prospect seeking hands-on school experience before further training? Could you provide calm, structured 1:1 support that helps a pupil with Autism and EBD learn with confidence?
You'll deliver daily 1:1 support, using clear routines, visual prompts, and short, achievable tasks. You'll scaffold learning, ease transitions, encourage communication, and log simple progress notes. Working with the class teacher and SENCO, you'll adapt activities so the pupil can access the curriculum and build independence.
You hold a psychology (or related) degree, communicate clearly, and remain consistent under pressure. You follow support plans, build trust quickly, and keep expectations firm but fair. You're organised, reflective, and keen to make measurable impact.
