The children attending the school struggle with mental health and anxiety, which can impact their education and behaviour. They need support to cope with their emotions and still complete their school day and meet their goals. That role is what a Mental Health Assistant fills.

You will support them in their needs in the classroom and model healthy coping strategies. You will receive support from the class teacher.

Responsibilities
  • Providing support and assistance in 1‑to‑1 or small group settings.
  • Taking part in providing specific teaching techniques.
  • Reinforcing therapeutic techniques that teachers have put in place.
  • Managing day‑to‑day support while ensuring children's education continues.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Those who have a degree in psychology or criminology will greatly benefit from this role; similar degrees are encouraged to apply.
