A regional health care provider in Coventry seeks a dynamic clinical psychologist to join the Primary Care Psychology Service. The role involves providing psychological assessments and therapy while collaborating with GP practices. Candidates should have significant mental health experience and a strong background in evidence-based psychology. A commitment to improving patient outcomes is essential. Join us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals in the community.
Are you a dynamic person looking for a psychology post that will provide you with new opportunities and experience? Do you have significant experience of working in mental health services and providing a range of evidence-based interventions to people with a variety of mental health problems and serious mental illness?
This is a unique opportunity to join the Psychology Service within our Primary Care-based Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, an ambitious service established over the past 2 years. We're passionate about offering the right psychological support early on, and in this role, you\'ll ensure our patients can access this care at the point of need. You will be employed by Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust but be embedded within a group of GP practices (Primary Care Network) with a focus on supporting local patients living in Coventry, offering care at the point of need. You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) environment and within an established Primary Care Psychology Service that is integrated within this MDT. This is a patient facing post, so you will have a meaningful impact on improving the access, experience and outcomes for service users on a daily basis through promoting and offering early psychology assessments, formulations, brief psychological interventions and consultations in a recovery focused way. We recognise that placing specialist Psychology staff in GP practices will help people with mental health problems achieve the best possible outcomes.
This is a clinical role with some development opportunities which may include supporting our CWPT junior psychology team members; communication with our clinical directors, GPs and wider GP practice colleagues; supporting the Psychology Leads in the coordination of the day-to-day operational management needs and clinical issues arising from mental health service delivery. You will also contribute to delivering and co-developing the primary care mental health service model. This includes care pathways for the provision of integrated mental health care within the Primary Care Networks and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As part of our safe recruitment practice, if appropriate for the role, it is mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff to be registered with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Update Service.
The Trust is committed to Equal Opportunities and welcomes applications regardless of age, gender, race, disability or sexual orientation. Guidance and criteria on the filtering criminal cautions and convictions can be found on the Disclosure and Barring Service website.
