Overview

PSHE Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated PSHE Teacher to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, committed, and ready to contribute to our educational goals.

  • Annual Salary: £29,047-£38,124
  • Location: Yorkshire
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (37 hours per week)
Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day of the role: Teach designated hours as required, with a flexible approach to delivering across various curriculum areas within your competence to fulfil the Delivery Plan requirements.
  • Design, develop, and deliver Schemes of Learning and lesson plans to ensure compliance with curriculum best practices and quality targets.
  • Create and review Individual Learning Plans and Learning Support Plans to meet individual learner needs.
  • Develop and deliver course content that addresses individual learner needs.
  • Lead and support the delivery and accreditation of learner-focused educational provision.
  • Contribute to the required Awarding Organisation Quality Assurance arrangements including Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) and moderation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Functional Skills Teachers/Learning and Support Workers to support literacy, language, and numeracy skills within the programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification.
  • Commitment to obtain any outstanding qualification within 12 months.
  • Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Hold or commit to work towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) within a specified timeframe (applies only to Teachers in YOI).
