Permanent – 37 hours per week. An opportunity to join the Property Services Team at South Yorkshire Housing Association.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Services Officer to work within our Property Services team. We are a forward‑thinking, values‑driven housing association, and this role is based at our Rockingham Street offices, in the centre of Sheffield.

More About the Role

We are looking for an individual who can work alone as well as part of a team.

You will be required to attend various locations to inspect, diagnose and raise works orders for the repairs and maintenance across our Livewell stock. You will play an integral part in delivery of our Stock Investment Programme across our Livewell portfolio, which will include preparing annual budget forecasts and strategic reports. You will manage budgets and contractors to ensure they deliver on time, to specification and budget.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose and raise works orders for repairs and maintenance across our Livewell stock.
  • Deliver the Stock Investment Programme across our Livewell portfolio, including preparing annual budget forecasts and strategic reports.
  • Manage budgets and contractors to ensure on‑time, on‑specification and budgetary delivery.
  • Work alone and as part of a team, attending various locations.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Self‑motivated.
  • Strong digital skills (Word, Microsoft Excel, ability to transact online).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Great organisational and observational skills.
  • Passionate about customer service.
  • Good problem solver.
  • Knowledge of planned maintenance and property defects.
  • Experience within a property maintenance/construction environment, diagnosing defects.
  • Must have a car and drivers licence (essential).
  • Experience managing stock investment programmes and/or repairs and maintenance in the care sector (not essential).
