Job description

A respected London-based law firm is seeking a Property Paralegal with a minimum of two years' experience to join their established real estate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Property Paralegal to take the next step in their legal career, working on a wide range of property transactions across both commercial and residential sectors.

The successful Property Paralegal will be part of a collaborative team handling acquisitions, disposals, leasehold matters, and landlord and tenant issues. This role is ideal for a proactive Property Paralegal with a strong understanding of the conveyancing process and a genuine interest in property law. As a Property Paralegal in this position, you'll be trusted with client contact, managing files from instruction through to completion, and supporting solicitors on more complex matters.

The Property Paralegal's role

Working closely with fee earners and partners, the Property Paralegal will be responsible for managing their own caseload of property files under supervision. Duties will include preparing contracts, conducting searches, reviewing titles, liaising with clients and third parties, and assisting with post-completion work including SDLT and Land Registry applications. The Property Paralegal will also play a key part in ensuring deadlines are met and files are progressed in a timely and compliant manner.

This is a fast-paced and varied role that will suit someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys being a reliable part of a supportive legal team.

The Property Paralegal

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a property law environment (commercial and/or residential)

  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process from start to finish

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage a busy caseload under supervision

  • Previous experience using legal case management systems

  • Completion of a recognised legal qualification (e.g. LLB, LPC or equivalent) preferred
