Property Management Administrator (Housing) – Southwark SE1

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Property Manager to join our client based in London SE1.

About our client: A trusted partner in providing secure, long-term rental homes for families in need of accommodation across London. With over 30 years of experience in the housing and property market, they have built a strong reputation for reliability and excellence. Their collaboration with local authorities and private landlords allows them to offer competitive rental rates and comprehensive property management services.

Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of properties – housing contacts
  • Maintaining and updating files for non-managed and managed properties
  • Referencing and researching all potential tenants and pursuing the requested compliance requirements
  • Drafting documentation pertaining to upcoming tenancies (e.g., tenancy agreements, prescribed information)
  • Liaising with tenants and landlords verbally, in person, and via email
  • Issuing client welcome packs
  • Organising check-in and check-out appointments
  • Answering the telephone and taking detailed messages
  • Organising incoming post for review
  • Building and maintaining rapport with existing, new and potential clients
  • Collating property inspection reports
  • Negotiating and processing tenant renewals
  • Ensuring all tenancy details are correct and up to date
  • Booking scheduled visits as per landlord requests
  • Word processing and collating spreadsheets
  • Property management assistance
  • Carrying out check-out assessment documents
  • Arrange office maintenance when required
  • Maintain office tidiness and presentation
Required skills and qualifications
  • Proven track record in property administration
  • At least 12–24 months of experience in a similar role within the property industry
  • Confident, well-presented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a highly busy environment, stay motivated, and multi-task without compromising quality of work or service

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

Salary: £35,000 p.a. OTE around £42,000
