A retail health and beauty company in Dunstable is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the property lease renewal and capex tracking processes. This role requires collaboration with finance and operational teams, strong analytical skills, and communication with senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate should be part qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA, have retail experience, and be proficient in Excel and PowerBI. A proactive mindset is essential in this fast-paced environment.
To support the continuing growth of the Savers retail estate activity by managing the lease portfolio, store refits and closures. You will be required to interrogate and drive understanding of Savers store performance, to ensure informed decision making, and deliver cost savings. To achieve this, you will need to collaborate with both wider finance and operational teams across the group. The key stakeholders of this role are the Property Director, Retail Director, Senior Executive team, the Operations and Regional teams, so you will need confidence and gravitas to provide credible support. Equally important is your ability to deliver clear and precise reporting and guidance to key stakeholders based on sound processes, controls and insight.
Manage the lease reporting (breaks, renewals, negotiations), forecasting and renewal process for Savers UK. Ensure Savers lease position is accuracy maintained supporting monthly reporting and company planning cycles. Prepare and support presentation of all lease activity to the Savers IC and UK IC plus submission to AS Watson Group (Hong Kong). Proactive review of potential store closure risks, with detailed analysis to support informed decision making. Capex tracking and reporting - manage in line with Group Finance reporting timeline and policy ensuring an up-to-date view of capital position supporting decision making and future forecasts. Deliver improvements to reporting to demonstrate key drivers of spend; and options for future capital rationing. Prepare timely forecasts for capex and depreciation.
Monthly reporting and analysis spend across key P&L lines including but not limited to Rates, Service Charges, Insurance, Legal and Professional, Merchandising and Property cost centres. Provide insights into the key drivers of the spend, identify savings, and tackle overspends. Review and management of PowerBI reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity of data, and support the rest of the business to adopt and use PowerBI for additional insight and time saving. Ownership of the Savers store structure report and integrity of data. Refit Reporting - reporting and analysis to support the annual refit programme, including in depth analysis to understand what is giving the best return to influence the future refit strategy. Support the Property Investment Manager with adhoc analysis and reporting required for new stores, relocations, refits and closures. Store Operating Performance Report (SOP), manage production of the monthly SOP Report including submission to Hong Kong.
