Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader, the Property Cleaning/Voids Operative is responsible for ensuring that all properties are cleaned and maintained to a high standard of hygiene and in full compliance with specified requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all properties are clean, hygienic, and ready for occupancy, in line with company standards.
- Remove rubbish and arrange proper disposal.
- Carry out minor repairs and address defects as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cleaning and maintenance records.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support colleagues as needed, including providing cover.
- Attend meetings and contribute to team discussions and shared goals.
- Keep up to date with all relevant communications, policies, and procedures.
- Actively engage in required training and development as part of your Personal Development Plan.
- Handle all personal data responsibly and in line with data protection policies.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate must hold a valid UK driving licence and undergo a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Previous experience in property cleaning or a similar role.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and safe application.
- Understanding of health and safety practices.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Effective time management and ability to prioritise.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem‑solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
