A leading infrastructure solutions company in the UK is seeking a Risk Manager to oversee risk management in significant projects. Costain have won extensive work across the water sector this year to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. We have been appointed by Northumbrian Water to the Living Water Enterprise to help shape and deliver its strategic infrastructure upgrade programme with contracts valued up to c.£670m to Costain over 15 years.
Reporting into the Head of Planning / PMO, the Risk Manager will be fully integrated and embedded into the framework with a remit to ensure that the project teams meet their risk and opportunity management challenges through improved risk practice and awareness. You'll be responsible for management of the implementation and ongoing assurance of governance and any contract specific requirements.
As a commercially astute Risk Manager you'll work in collaboration with stakeholders at scheme and framework level and you'll identify, analyse and develop responses to project risks & opportunities, taking ownership and responsibility. You'll play an important role in developing a positive risk and opportunity culture within the framework.
By embedding and championing best-practice risk and opportunity management tools and techniques across the allocated programmes you'll enable a timely, efficient, safe and customer-focused delivery.
